San Felipe

Sunshine, sand beaches, wind, dust and margaritas — is there more to life than this?

Originally, we would stay at Las Missiones, but in later years we moved over to the El Cortez Hotel.

Las Missiones never had water in its swimming pool.

The El Cortez was a much better place, and well within walking distance to the malecon and downtown San Felipe.

Las Missiones

Some of us rode down to Puertecitos to get away from it all. The road wasn’t too bad, but towards the south end, it needed some work.

On the way back we’d stop at some playa or another for a beer and a look-see at the campgrounds. They all had lots of sand, and from the photos in the bar, they all looked like party places.

Oh to be young one more time and party down here!
